Your Name Should Speak For You

Welcome to this week pastor’s corner which comes from the book of Proverbs 22:1 which says “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.’

Beloved, we should always be concerned to do what will cause us to obtain and maintain a good name, rather than to gain riches that can be squandered. Is it to say that money is not important or needed? No, but your reputation and character will also speak for you. In the sight of God Job was a man who was blameless and upright, who had a good name about town and he said ‘Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go; My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live.’ (Job 27:5b-6).

When a man is considered honorable he will receive favor with God and man, but especially with God, whose loving kindness is far better than that of man.

Therefore it is our prayer that you will live your life in a way that men and women will call you honorable and your name will be that of good, in Jesus name. Until next week, Calvary blessings upon you.
