Work For It!

working

Welcome beloved to this week pastor’s corner taken of ECCLESIASTES.3:9- which says-” What profit has the worker from that in which he labors?”

Beloved, it good that we must fend for our daily bread, and for the things which we so desire in this life. For this reason many labor so hard for them. The bible supports that we work, but today Wisdom also wants to encourage us to know that it’s also okay to take time out and enjoy the good of all our labor.Eccles.3:13 says-” and also that every man should eat and drink (NOT ALCOHOL) and enjoy the good of all his labor- it is the gift of God. It is good to treat yourselves to some of the good things of life provided by Nature for example-A time at the beach could be nice and relaxing.  After a long week of working and standing on your feet, it advisable to treat yourselves to some of the beautiful and less expensive spas, to rejuvenate yourselves. Taking time out with the family at the parks, visiting the zoo, recreational centers, or going to see some sport games. Going on retreats and vacation and some other places of interest where you could enjoy yourself is important for your body, spirit and even for your psyche.

For what then do you labor for?  ECCL.4:8- says ” there is one alone, without companion: he has neither son or brother, yet there is no end to all his labors, nor is his eye satisfied with riches. But he never asks, ” for whom do I toil and deprive myself of good?” This is vanity and a grave misfortune.  Solomon then concluded in ECCL.3:22, saying-” so I perceived that nothing is better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him? So take time out and enjoy all of your labor.

It is therefore my prayer, in all that you labor that God gives you the grace to rejoice and enjoy them in Jesus name. Till we meet again Calvary greetings.
