Welcome to this week’s pastor’s corner which comes from the book of  Proverbs 14:14  “A backslider in heart will be filled with the fruit of his ways, and a good man will be filled with the fruit of his ways.”

Beloved, a backslider in heart is someone that no longer desires a walk with God and withdraws themselves from God’s people.  This is a person who no longer fights against Satan and but has again fallen in love with sin.  Your life is that of a pursuit of comfort, and desire to fulfill your own lusts rather than a sacrifice like our Saviors. The bible says in Proverbs 16:25 “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” What looks good and seems to bring a certain amount of pleasure to oneself, can lead to destruction. Galatians 5:22-23  provides us a grocery list of the fruits we should desire- love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.      

Therefore it is our prayer that you  chew on the fruit of the Lord and your reward will be peace from God, more of His grace and love. Until we meet again next week, Calvary blessings upon you.
