Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome to this week pastor’s corner taken from the book of Deuteronomy 8:2 which says ‘And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.’
Beloved, if we say that we trust God know that you will be tested–everyone will be tested. During this time, God will test your heart and your faithfulness towards Him. This is the time when you have to hold on to what you believe even when nothing appears to be happening around you. God tells us in all our getting, get understanding. If we understood what God is doing in our lives, we would feel better about going through what we go through, but it’s when we lack understanding that causes us to lose faith and trust in God.
There will be times in your life when it seems like you are walking alone and God is not answering you… this is the time He’s proving you. Will you believe when there is no evidence of the truth around you? Will you believe Him just because His word says it? This is one of the ways He proves your love and faithfulness towards Him and He can find you trustworthy. The waiting time is painful and sometimes long sometimes, but He has given us the fruit of long-suffering. Don’t be discouraged, for the bible says in Psalm 40:4a ‘Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord’.
It is our prayer that God will give you the grace to hold on and trust in HIM – that HIS plans for you are of good and not evil but to bring you to your expected end. Until next week, Calvary blessings upon you!
