Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and  welcome to this week  pastor’s corner which comes from the book of  Proverbs 14:27 ‘The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.’

Beloved, the bible would have us to know that the fear of the Lord is important, as it is mentioned 86 times. The type of fear mentioned is not the fear that provokes fright, but it is a respectful awe of God and a reverence for His power and glory. the fear of the Lord is a total acknowledgement of all that God is, which comes through knowing Him and all His attributes-grace, mercy, kindness and long suffering and so on.

The fear of the Lord brings with it many blessings and benefits. It is the beginning of wisdom and leads to good understanding, only fools despise wisdom and discipline. The bible says in Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the LORD leads to life, so that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.  It is the fountain of life and provides a security and a place of safety for us.

It is therefore our prayer that the fear of the Lord will always be close to your heart, and keep you and your family from every plan of the enemy. Until next week, cavalry blessings upon you.
