Struggling with Laziness

career-management-lazy

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and savior…JESUS CHRIST. Welcome to this week pastors’ corner taken from the book of  PROVERBS 6:10-11 which says “A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep—11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.”

Believers no doubt this is a stern indictment against laziness and it advises what it can lead to. Laziness can be described as inactivity, or idleness; this is a habit that we sometimes dismiss as minor. When a person struggles with laziness or idleness, they simply refuse to fight against their self-centered desire for what comes easy and it is the opposite of hard work and diligence. The bible says in PROVERBS 10:4 “A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.”    In the book of the beginning, God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden to work and keep it- It was part of HIS perfect plan for men that they should work. Proverbs 13:4 further says “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets    nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.”

Therefore it is our prayer that God will help you to cultivate a life of diligence and hard work because what we ultimately do is unto the Lord.

Until we meet again next week, Calvary blessings.
