Dearly beloved, welcome to this week’s Pastors’ corner from the book of James 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
Beloved, many of us have wants and desires but you cannot change anything in your life with good intentions alone. Intention without action is useless! Having faith alone will not place the promises of God in your hands. You can believe all day long, but if you don’t mix that belief with trust, and confidence in what you are believing, you will gain nothing. You will not eat the good of the land if you don’t put action into what you are claiming is yours in the Kingdom.
Success comes from first believing the truth of God’s word, meditating on that truth until its muttered in your heart and spills out of your mouth. The bible says in Joshua 1:8 ‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. ‘ The devil will come to contradict your belief and it’s your job to have the Word so engrained in you that when the enemy comes, you can laugh at his failed attempt to turn you away from what you know to be truth. When you obey the Word, you are acting upon that faith you have that the Word will carry you above any situation.
Therefore, it is our prayer that as the enemy presents you with a lie that you will not make it, that you will not succeed – you will be able to lift up your faith and confidence that you have in the Word of God and declare that Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Until next week, Calvary blessings upon you.
