Guard your Words

Guard your Mouth

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and  welcome to this week pastor’s corner which comes from the 4:29 which says  ‘Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen .’

Beloved, it is our duty as Christians to seek, by the blessing of God, to bring one another to think seriously, and to encourage and warn believers about their conversation. All lying, and corrupt communications, that stir up evil desires and lusts, grieve the Spirit of God. Proverbs 15:28 says ‘The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.’ Along the lines of “Think before you speak”, is what you’re going to say…True?  Helpful?  Important? Necessary? Kind?  We shouldn’t speak in anger, spite, or gossip about others. When we do talk it should be for helping and building up one another.

Therefore it is our prayer, that the next time you want to say something, you will THINK before you speak. Until next week, cavalry blessings upon you!
