Guard Your Hearts and Minds in Christ Jesus

Dearly beloved, welcome to this weeks Pastors’ corner from the book of Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Beloved sometimes our emotions are fickle and they can fool us and oftentimes will work against us in our efforts to keep our head up. Our history of events are stored in the hard drive of our minds, and our entire life and emotions respond from that storage. When Job reflected on his life his emotions begin to get the best of him- in Job 3:2 He said: “Let the day of my birth be erased, and the night I was conceived.” Your emotions can bring good feelings of beautiful memories and they can also bring sadness, fear, or loneliness of tragic events in your life. But when we have the peace of God, our hearts and mind can be at rest.

You can choose how you want to feel by not letting your past determine your future or your next move. You must purpose daily to fill your thoughts with things that are good for you; things that will build you up. The Word of God describes the abundant life that He has provided us and the bible says HE will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on him: because he trusts in you. (Isaiah 26:3)
It is our prayer that as you meditate on the word of God and think about his goodness, that peace will be your portion. Until next week, cavalry blessings upon you.
