Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and Welcome to the pastor’s corner taken from the book of Ecclesiastes 7:12 which says  ’ For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserves them that have it.’

Beloved, money as well as wisdom is a shield and defense to men; they both provide protection and security from everyday issues. As both provide safety, the bible warns us in       I Timothy 6:10 ‘For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many      sorrows.’ The pursuit of money can cause one to turn away from God but he tells us in Hebrews 13:5 ‘Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Ecclesiastes 9:15 says ‘There was found in the city a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. ‘ Although money may be tangible and serve as a status symbol, the bible advise us in Proverbs 8:11 ‘For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.’  Wisdom is what is needed to sustain even the wealth that one may acquire. Therefore it is our prayer, that as you seek to get money, that you also desire HIS wisdom, for wisdom is the principal thing,  therefore get Wisdom.  Until next week, Calvary blessings upon you.
